Go solar & Plan For The Future

Fight climate change with your energy choices.

Solar energy IS a hot topic for a good reason.

Let the power of sunshine reduce your carbon footprint and your electric bill! Invest in high-quality power for your home or business. With new innovations, there has never been a better time to jump on solar energy.

solar energy faqs for beginners

How's it generated?

Solar energy means energy derived from the sun’s rays. Like trees and flowers, solar panels collect energy from sunlight and convert it to power. Unlike plants, we use it for electricity instead of food.

Can I power my property?

Of course! The interest in Solar panels wouldn’t be rising so fast if it couldn’t. The average home consumes 913 kilowatt hours per month. The average solar panel array can produce up to 897 kilowatt hours per month.

How do I get started?

Just a few things: Panels, An inverter, Racking, Batteries optional, Charge Controller optional, and a Trusted solar panel installer. There are other key components to a solar system to view in the guide below.

Bonus: Net Metering

Did you know that if you’re generating more energy than needed, you can receive credit for the excess? If you’re still on the power grid, you as a homeowner can receive “credits” at your energy’s current cost. You can “buy back” the energy with these credits for those unavoidable cloudy days.

Selecting your panels

1. Check the Rating Good equals 200-350 watts.

2. Check Power Tolerance This is what the panel collects under optimal conditions. You’re wanting something that has a narrow window for more certainty. So, something that says +/=5% or less.

3. Check Efficiency The most effective panel is 23% so look to get as close to this number as possible.

4. Check Temperature Coefficient Solar panels are heat sensitive, so if you live somewhere where temperatures climb higher than 77 degrees, look for panels with a higher temperature coefficient. The rule is that your efficiency degrades every 4°F you go over 77.

With the hype around the new technological innovations (and the tax benefits), solar is
becoming the new buzz word. An increasing number of people are opting for a more sustainable
source of energy, the future is looking bright.

Tax credits & profits from the sun

Let’s start with the fun part: savings.

Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SRECs) can net some spending money with these panels on top of paying for your electricity. “Solar incentives” allow homeowners and companies to accrue extra money with net metering. You’ll earn one SREC for every 1000 kilowatt hour (kWh) you produce with your system. See if your state qualifies for Cash Profits.
